In Flensburg the Nextragen GmbH was founded by four founders Dirk Christiansen, Benjamin Kolbe, Stephan Jess and Sasha Mahmood. The Nextragen GmbH is a spin-off from the development department of the company ITD Informationstechnologie GmbH & Co. KG from Damme which had her development department for measurement products in the rooms of the University of Applied Science Flensburg during the last 10 years.

Nextragen will develop new measuring methods and measuring procedures in the area of provision of quality and assurance for the new NGN nets (Next generation Networks) and market. Technological principal purpose is the supervision and indemnification of SLAs (service level agreements) in the area "VoIP" (Voice over IP, telephony over the IP net) and IPTV (Watch TV over the IP net). For that purpose simulators (for active measurement, e.g., of the speech quality) and monitors (passive measuring probes for the long time supervision of quality parameters) are developed, which are controlled over a central measuring system and send all measuring results to the central measuring system.

This system offers the optimum control of your networks and by disturbances optimum instruments for customers to localise the mistake. Net operating authorities can lower their expenses significantly by the application of the central management system which is developed , because only in special cases service technicians have to visit the likely mistake point physically.

In addition, the migration of IPv4 to IPv6 addresses will release in hybrid systems and nets the problems whose measuring-technical solution can be guaranteed only with software conformist in these system surroundings. The IPv6 correspondent products of the Nextragen GmbH can perform the before called quality monitoring and assurance and are therefore important for the acceptance with the user of such real time applications.

At the same time the legislator will oblige the telecommunication suppliers in future to guarantee a high high-class level of the signal transference and to document this quality explicitly.

In parallel with the development and marketing of Triple Play measurement technology the Nextragen GmbH will carry out services in the area of Commissioning of IP nets and quality assurance (speech quality) with VoIP migrations and long time supervision of the quality parametres for companies.
